Spamity™ Agent uses a multitude of different approaches to detect spam email in a heterogeneous (mixed) pool of spam and legitimate email. In brief, FEST™ is an iteration of the well-known DNA and RNA sequencing methodologies (commonly employed in the areas of genomics and proteomics).
By exploiting the structural similarities of DNA or RNA strands and email, FEST™ creates fingerprints from unique and non-unique sequences. These fingerprints, which are created using spam email received by Bitspan’s own proprietary network allow for quick identification of spam from various origins and in different languages.
